Who?

Hi there,

I’m Jo FitzGerald.

I’m a highly experienced teacher and educator with a broad range of achievements in various settings, including teaching Special Educational Needs in Dubai and head teacher of a Pupil Referral Unit in the South of England. Before returning to the UK to live, I ran a Nursery School for The British Council in Oman, I now focus my work on all things Early Years – parenting in particular.

I run two social media groups for parents, Tiny Sponges is about learning and development for our under 7’s. Keep Our Kids Safe And Strong helps parents teach all things emotional well-being and resilience skills.

I am also a mum, a blogger, I write articles for parenting magazines, and am now (pause for trumpet fanfare) – an author!

I help parents of children aged 0 – 7 to turn their children on to learning and developing. Helping with skills and mindset to enable their child to reach their potential academically, physically and emotionally – by informing, discussing and sharing all things learning, development and resilience.

I attend many workshops, seminars and masterclasses from leading thinkers and doers in the childcare field, so that I am informed … and so that I can SHARE IT with parents, grandparents, practitioners – anyone who is interested and wants to give their child the best possible start in life.

I love the science of development, the wonder of development, the joy of seeing children learn, explore and create – and I treasure having the privilege of being a part of a child’s world as they grow.
